Installation Notes

Deck belt replacement is typically performed by outdoor power equipment technicians or experienced DIYers. Before beginning, disengage the blade clutch, shut off the engine, remove the ignition key, and allow all moving parts to come to a complete stop. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starts before accessing the deck. Route the new belt according to the deck routing diagram found on the mower or in the service manual to ensure correct tension and alignment.
