Description
The DELTANA DSBT14 is a ball tip hinge accessory designed to replace standard hinge finials on residential and light commercial door installations. The ball tip threads onto the exposed pin end of a butt hinge, providing a finished, decorative appearance at the top of the door. Finished in Bright Nickel, this tip suits interior and exterior doors where a polished metallic look is required. Installers use it wherever a plain hinge pin end would otherwise be visible, such as on entry doors, interior passage doors, or cabinet doors with exposed hinges.
This ball tip is suited for residential and light commercial door hardware applications. It is typically installed by carpenters, millwork contractors, or general trades performing door and trim finish work. The Bright Nickel finish coordinates with Bright Nickel hinge sets and other matching architectural hardware throughout a project. Sold individually, it is compatible with standard hinge pin configurations that accept a threaded ball tip finial.

Installation Notes
Ball tips are installed by hand or with light tooling by carpenters or finish hardware tradespeople. Remove the existing hinge pin before threading the ball tip onto the pin end ensure the thread engagement is snug and flush. Do not overtighten, as excess torque can damage the tip or hinge barrel. Verify finish compatibility with adjacent hardware before installation.
