Description
The MIDDLE ATLANTIC – U.S. – LEGRAND PBL4-CP6 is a 4-space flanged aluminum blank plate designed to fill unused rack unit openings in standard equipment racks. Blank plates block airflow bypass paths, helping maintain proper thermal management across installed equipment. The flanged construction provides secure attachment to rack rails, and the aluminum build keeps added weight minimal. This type of panel is installed by AV integrators, electricians, and IT infrastructure technicians working on rack buildouts in both commercial and residential applications.
The PBL4-CP6 is suited for use in standard 19-inch equipment racks where open rack unit spaces need to be covered. Typical install scenarios include server rooms, AV equipment closets, telecom enclosures, and data distribution racks. At 4 rack units in height, it covers a meaningful portion of unused rack space in a single panel, reducing the need for multiple smaller filler pieces in equipment bays that have larger open gaps.
Key Features
- Covers 4 rack units of unused space in standard 19-inch equipment racks
- Aluminum construction keeps the panel lightweight while maintaining structural integrity
- Flanged design attaches securely to rack rail mounting holes
- Blocks open airflow bypass paths to support proper rack thermal management
- Sold individually as a single unit
Compatibility
Designed as an OEM-style filler for standard 19-inch equipment racks requiring blank panel coverage across 4 rack units of open space.
Installation Notes
Installation is performed by AV integrators, electricians, or structured cabling technicians during rack assembly or reconfiguration. Power down or de-energize active equipment in the rack before working in close proximity to energized components. Blank plates typically fasten with rack screws or cage nuts to standard EIA-310 rail patterns. Verify rack unit alignment before securing the panel to ensure flush fitment across adjacent equipment.
