Description
The Minwax 71047 is a Weathered Oak interior wood finish stain sold in a one-gallon container. It penetrates and colors bare, unfinished wood surfaces, enhancing grain definition while depositing a consistent, warm gray-brown tone characteristic of the Weathered Oak shade. The finish is applied by brush, cloth, or foam applicator and wiped to the desired depth of color. Woodworkers, finish carpenters, and flooring installers use this product on furniture, cabinets, trim, molding, and hardwood floors where a uniform, oil-based stain is required prior to a clear protective topcoat.
This wood finish is suited for interior residential and light commercial applications on raw or stripped wood surfaces. Typical uses include refinishing hardwood floors, staining unfinished furniture, and coloring interior trim and millwork. The Weathered Oak tone works well on oak, pine, poplar, and similar species where a muted, driftwood-style color is the target outcome. A clear topcoat such as polyurethane is required after staining to seal and protect the surface.
