Description
Restore your vintage WhisperFlo pump with the Pentair 070795 trap lid, a genuine OEM cover manufactured for WhisperFlo units produced prior to November 1998. This lid seats precisely over the strainer basket housing, locking down with factory-matched threads to form a vacuum-tight seal that prevents air leaks and suction loss. Molded from heavy-duty thermoplastic, it stands up to years of chemical exposure and outdoor weathering without becoming brittle or discolored. If the original lid on your pre-1998 WhisperFlo has developed cracks, warping, or a poor seal, this replacement returns the pump to full operational condition with a quick, tool-free swap.
Key Benefits
- Sized for Pre-November 1998 WhisperFlo Units: Precisely dimensioned for older Pentair WhisperFlo pump housings, guaranteeing thread engagement and gasket alignment without modification.
- Transparent Lexan Material: The see-through lid lets you visually inspect basket debris levels at a glance, while the high-impact Lexan construction withstands pressure loads and sun exposure.
- Airtight Seal Eliminates Suction Problems: Seats firmly against the housing gasket to maintain full prime, preventing air ingestion that leads to reduced flow and pump cavitation.
- Critical Part for Legacy Pump Maintenance: Purpose-made for pre-11/98 production runs, this lid is the correct solution when originals have cracked, yellowed, or lost the ability to hold a seal.
- Genuine OEM Fit and Finish: Threads and sealing surfaces are machined to Pentair factory tolerances, enabling drop-in replacement with zero modifications or aftermarket workarounds.
